Golf Tournament To Benefit
Norwalk Emergency Shelter

NORWALK, Conn., July 10 -- It's well known that playing a round of golf can provide many health and psychological benefits for golfers. And on August 11, golfers will have an opportunity to extend those benefits to thousands of others in the Norwalk area.

That's because on August 11 the Norwalk Emergency Shelter will hold its 4th Annual Golf Tournament at the Silvermine Golf Course. More than 100 golfers are expected to tee it up, with proceeds supporting the many activities of the Norwalk Emergency Shelter.

"Every year the tournament has become more and more successful," says Carol Antonetz, Executive Director of the Norwalk Emergency Shelter. "It's really a fun day, with good competition, and the best part of the day is that we're raising funds that are going to help many people and improve the quality of life in the Norwalk area."

The tournament will begin at noon for lunch to be followed by light dinner and a raffle.

An individual player can sign up for $150. Corporate sponsorships are also available and range from $100 to $1,000. For $100, companies can acquire tee and green sponsorships. Table Tent Cards and Food Sponsorships are available for $250, while Cart Sponsorships are available at $1,000 a piece.

"This is a great opportunity to put your company's name out before a large and influential group of individuals, while doing some good for the community," Antonetz said.
