Norwalk Emergency Shelter Seeks
Donations For Annual Golf Tourney

NORWALK, Conn., July 26 – You can tell something about people by the company they keep, and the same is true for businesses.

If you and your company would like to rub elbows with some of the finest businesses in Fairfield County, you can accomplish that by supporting the 5th Annual Norwalk Emergency Shelter Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held on Aug. 9 at the Silvermine Golf Course in Norwalk.

Last year, local retailers and companies donated over 30 valuable gifts to the event, making last year’s tournament most successful ever. In addition, companies such as Fairfield County Savings and Gateway Graphics sponsored the tournament, which attracted more than 100 players.

"For our tournament to succeed and for our shelter to continue providing its valuable services to the Norwalk community, we’re inviting local businesses and companies to show donate samples of their products to the tournament,” says Carole Antonetz, Executive Director of the Norwalk Emergency Shelter.

“Whatever products businesses are willing to contribute, we’re willing to accept,” Antonetz said. “All of this helps to contribute to a fun day, with plenty of good competition. And the best part of the day is that we're raising funds that are going to help many people and improve the quality of life in the Norwalk area."

The tournament will begin at noon and includes lunch, a light dinner and a raffle.

To make a contribution contact the Norwalk Emergency Shelter at 203-866-1057.
Corporate sponsorships are also available and range from $150 to $1,000. For $150, companies can acquire tee and green sponsorships. Table Tent Cards and Food Sponsorships are available for $250, while Cart Sponsorships are available at $1,000 a piece. For more information on sponsorships, call the Norwalk Emergency Shelter.

Players can also contact the shelter if they are interested in playing. The cost is $175 per player.

"This is a great opportunity to put your company's name out before a large and influential group of individuals, while doing some good for the community," Antonetz said.
