WISH LIST
Most of the families and individuals who come to Norwalk
Emergency Shelter arrive with almost nothing, and depend on community
donations for household goods, food, and other necessities. There
is a particular need for department store or grocery gift certificates,
kitchenware, baby clothes and supplies, and disposable items such
as soap, toothpaste, and paper products. Donations can be dropped
off at The Norwalk Emergency Shelter at 4 Merritt Street in South
Norwalk. You may drop off donations at any time, however, we encourage
donors to avoid making deliveries during the hours of 12:00pm to
2:00pm, as we are preparing and serving lunch during this time.
Should this be the only time available to you, we will gladly accept
the donation. The shelter appreciates any donation individuals or
corporations can make.

The Norwalk Emergency Shelter
and the Manna House of Hospitality are open three hundred sixty
five days a year. The shelter sleeps ninety-five people and offers
case management services to all that stay at the shelter as well
as anyone else in the community in need. The Manna House serves
three meals a day, every day of the year. This translates to over
12,000 meals served monthly.
